No, but I suggest an nVidia card. Their support in linux is the best you can get and you can pick up a GF2 for very very cheap nowadays.

don't forget that ati just realesed drivers, but as always research something before making a purcase. and for something not being supported, had almost the same issue with a sound card.

I work at Best Buy so I should be able to get a pretty sweet deal on a vid card, since the machine is old I may just get like a geforce 2 or something, like 40 before my discount. Thanks for all of the help everyone.

I like my Geforce2 card. The drivers that come with XFree are ok but the drivers from nVidia are outstanding (you probably won't notice the difference unless you run apps that need Accelerated X like VMware, Games, etc).
An "lspci -v" tells me I have a VisionTek nVidia GeForce2 GTS (with 32MB of video RAM). I really like this card. It's a PCI card and it was very inexpensive.
