Lies and Truths

Lie: Linux is not stable.
Truth: Most Linux distros are extremely stable. Ask yourself this, how many times has Windows crashed on you? How many for Linux? 'Nuff said.
Lie: Linux has no software support.
Truth: Linux has tons of software support, a lot of which is completely free! All over the internet is great software waiting to be downloaded for Linux.
Lie: Linux isn't for gamers.
Truth: Linux is perfect for gamers. Linux distros aren't bloatware, meaning more space for games. Every good Linuxer knows that most Windows games can run on a Linux system with alittle tweaking.
Lie: Linux is a bad programming language.
Truth: :eek: Completely wrong! Linux is by far the easiest programming language out there. It is easy to get used to (it took me about a day) and there are hundreds, maybe even thousands of free resources on the web, and entire Linux communities that will help you with every question you have.
Lie: Microsoft isn't stopable.
Truth: M$ is[/B] stopable. By buying and supporting Linux-supporting companies, going to your nearest computer store and buying a Linux distro, and spreading the word about the freedom of Linux (and burning copies for your friends), we can shut off M$'s main resource, Windows. It doesn't stop there!
You can organize a boycott of M$'s other products and support Nintendo and Sony, so M$ can't succeed in infesting the console business.
Don't buy there games!
Don't buy there mouses!
Build your own PC and put Linux on it or buy a Mac!
Organize an e-mail campaign to major PC making companies telling them their blind support of M$ won't be tolerated!
Have a phone campaign!
Call people and tell them about how evil M$ is! Make brouchures!
Make sure to include many facts in your campaigns about M$'s tactics!And, most importantly, don't do it alone! Spread the word on your campus (or school) first, and then start larger campaigns!
We could do this! I know it! People think we're crazy, but we're not! We are liberators of the computer world!!!

that seems to be a common misconception about linux. Why do people associate linux with programming, to the point that linux becomes a programming language??
