ok im wanting to download mandrake linux 9.1 from www.linuxiso.org, and i was wondering do i need all 3 files or just the one?

CD1 is the basic OS and... maybe some programs. CD2 is more programs. CD3 is internationalization. You don't have to have all 3, but I'd reccomded at least the first 2.

cheers mate, was going to download it from an ftp but it said 14 hrs @ 17kbs so i decided to go red hat and jew it off the office netwerk  :D

also i was wondering of programs you would recommend i downloaded for using with red hat?

see that post install stuff? it's about installing a small program that can be used to update or install anything from a huge database of software. This can also be used for security updates, and it is simple and easy. basically if you feel you need more software than red hat have provided you with, use apt and synaptic and just browse to see what's in there.
