What distribution are you going to install?

I know how to install Mandrake or Slackware without burning files on a CD  ;)

insomnia:
You should be able to boot your CD starting from that 'A drive prompt'.
First cd to your cdrom(obviously including your cd).
Look for a dir called dosutils(or something like that).
cd in this dir and you should see some auto-installers.
