Linux Tutorials For Absolute Know-nothing Newbies:-)

Hey, can anyone point me towards a tutorial that will take an absolute Know-Nothing Total Newbie through the Linux world?

Everyone was losing me with Lilo, and Grub, and all the commands, partitioning, Kernels, Root, Compiling...It was way over my head when I attempted the Mandrake Linux Install/unintstall!

I'd like to take my time...what little time I will have, and learn what it's all about, so when I get a new computer I'll be ready to go;)
