Thank you. Yep, Lindows 1.0 is pretty outdated now; the current one I tried is 4.5. Like I said, definitely very good hardware support.

There is one thing I forgot to mention, though: Lindows is very stripped down compared to most distros, but does come with Open Office installed, so it beats Windows out of the box just on that.

Of course, "stripped down" is in the eye of the beholder. The people who like the slim, unbloated distos might say $4.95 is a great deal for adding just the software you want and nothing more, and it's easy to use to boot.

I still want my SuSE 9.0 to hurry up and get here though.   :(

I think Lindows is a POS.

I can get you SuSE 9.0 ISOs. PM me or talk to me on soulseek/nicotine (sn: restin).

^True, it is for real Linux users. But for people just switching from Windows, it's simplicity is a real boon. Especially for computer novices.

Thanks for the offer, and I just might be taking you up on that. Right now I'm still waiting, and it had better get here soon since I paid for it or I'm going to ruin someone's decade.

With the paid version you have documentation and support, which is a real plus, although most of the time any question can be answered on a help forum like www.linuxiso.org/forums . I should mention that there's 5 650MB CDs.. you probably knew that though.
