fiber channel

(1/1)

choasforages:
well, ive been looking on ebay and pricewatch. linux supports fiber channel right?/*looked up a few controllers, does anybody have personal experiance with this stuff?*/ and how does one "wire" fiber channel drives together? and is it worth it?

dbl221:
fiberchannel is for servers dude just use scsi if you are into performance hardware.

dbl221:
Well I would recomend you start with a CAT5 Ethernet switched LAN.  Just search on google and buy a patch cable tester and a few other tools and construct your LAN with a cheap 100MB Ethernet swithing HUB.

You will learn tonnes.
