i deleted all my logs and other stuff... I might isntall slackware 8.1 anyway.

Is it on your proxy server?  The Squid cache can also get quite large. You can limit it or turn off the caching part and use it as a proxy only but I suspect there are other issues. How big is the partition and how much free space did you have in the last couple of days prior to the fill up?

the first thing i did was clear the squid cache.
then i searched for any portsentry logs.. cleared them. Then i searched to see if COLD left any logs.. nope(i dont run COLD anymore). Then i deleted some folders at random... samba, mysql, mutella, some other stuff. I might jsut isntall slackware with ONLY a webserver, squid, ssh, portsentry, ipchains, and only essentials. I have so much unused shit on my redhat install, it would take me weeks to clear all the stuff i dont need. I am dling slackware 8.1 right now.

I am gonna put in 1 or two more hard drives (137MB and 250-300MB). I will prolly just use them as swap and keep my 1GB hd for the root directory.
