I think there was a way to import in Windows fonts to Linux... I never really cared because fonts don't exactly float my boat but does someone elese know?

Depends on your distribution really and whether or not you have access to a Windows partition. For example, SuSE 8.2 which I'm using now, can download and install M$'s TT fonts through Yast Online Update automatically!   :D  

If you're using RH, Void Main has also written a nice tutorial over at his page on how to get them and introduce them to xfs, so that they are available next time you start X. You can catch it here..
