you are wrong on TWO Counts in your first sentence!
firstly, macs are not based on unix, the truth is that the software supplied with a macintosh is based on Darwin. This is an open source operating system based on a version of the Berkeley System Distribution (of 'Unix', although by the time BSD came out it was legally required to contain NO Unix code, so technically it is not Unix).
Secondly, i'd be surprised if windows XP could power anything, let alone a "real computer".
I have a "real" computer, and now i want a laptop, so get over it. in fact i'm not even going to read further than your first sentence, given its awful track record.

ecsyle, i'm not going to delete his post because it does contain some stuff, and this thread's 'real' topic is more or less finished anyway.
oh yes, also i can't delete it because i don't moderate the mac forums!   :D
