Water by default...holy crap

However, this means you now have to spend at least $2000 on a G5, instead of $1800.     I'll let Jimmy James finish this off.  ;)

No, the water cooling is only for the 2.5 GHz.

Go Apple! Not because I'm a Mac fan all of the sudden, but because they're a trendsetter.

It will take two years before HP and Dell hit themselves in the head and think "fuck yeah" and start to install watercooling in their high-performance computers by default too.

I know that.  By "default" I meant they sold a machine that had it right away.  Didn't mean all the models.  However, the cheaper 1.6Ghz model is gone, so the minimum price HAS gone up.

Why you sad about it?  You should be happy you got it before it got ditched. It was only $1800, right?  They aren't even offering a G5 for that price now.

Thats true.  Actually it was a little under $1700, but I had them take the super drive out and replace it with a combo drive.  Oh, and I had the memory bumped up to 512.
