I think Fire is the one everyone says works on OS 9.  I have never used it so I wouldent know, all my friends are on AIM, so I just use it. Yes AOL sux, but i don't run it 24-7, so Im cool.

oki...

well where can i get fire? the mac site is delightfully unhelpful, as i'm an OS 9er

i use all the im systems (well, not icq really thanx to the useless Time Limitedness of their Free Beta)  so a unified system would be royal.

that sounds like the windoze version

is it?  cos see, the version of icq that i had would lock me out after i used it for more than a nominal period of time (time-limited) and so i wound up having to re reg every two or three days.  not worth my time.

going to check out the site.  if it's windoze crap i'll not be a happy camper

Going to the ICQ home page shows a full version not a beta. Have you checked there lately?

gooseberry, that site looks useless to me--i am assuming that it is icq for windoze that you have there.

and anyhow, i'm just looking for a trillian-type resource that can be used on my comp.

checked there this morning and it looked like a beta to me

keep in mind i cant use 3.02 cos i have 9.0.4, not osX.  :(

grr.  i dont have much use for icq anyhow, but i use yahoo, aim and msn like they're life support .  ergo, the crusade for the ultimate unitary system continues.
