i hate to be the guy that gets home from the theater and instantly jumps on the computer to voice his opinion, but i am going to do it anyways.

it lacked in a lot of areas, and the effects weren't as mind-blowing as i expected. They were, however, done exceptionally well, and they do sorta raise the bar. again. as for plot, well, i am going to have to wait for the conclussion this november. they cut the story short (those dirty bastards) so any judgement of the plot or movie is based on only half the info. so i am not going to get into it. yet. I did think that the soundtrack was better. Instead of crystal method playing against the fight scene (the first matrix), the music and the fight scenes were choreographed/orchestrated to create a seamless blend between the two. And i thought the techno was very good with the instrumental elements. It was noticably better. The little rave party in zion had me wondering where the spice melange was, and why aren't there eyes blue? i will not spoil the ending for you, all i will say, was that it left us all saying WTF! with a big smile....
i guess i liked it.

I plan to see it tonight - and I will be keeping an eye out for all OS / computer related scenes.  ;)
My current plan is to yell when I see the ssh part "Linux owns joo ass Matrix boy!"

Master of Reality:
i also noticed that nmap was running on their computer too. I Didnt see any linux with a GUI tho.

Faust:
Yep, at the top of the terminal those 3 lovely words  "nmap run complete."  :D  It's too bad they cropped the remote OS type id, we could have seen what type of OS the agents use.  Well Trinity hacked it so I guess WIndows then.  ;)  Also did anyone else see in the scene with the old white haired guy (trying to avoid spoiling any suprises) that when he talked about "human evil" George W popped up on the screens behind him?

Good movie, the second part redeemed the first half...  in the first half the only good scene is the fight scene with the Mr Smiths, otherwise the best is from the Maitres' D on.  I dunno, I just hated the first half or so... Keanu Reeves wooden acting, that Dune homage dance scene and the over reliance on action / sfx kinda spoiled it.  But it got a lot better in the second half.     What did everyone else think?

Faust:
So who wants to jump on Windows forums and tell them that the Matrix guys use a decent OS?
