There sure is a lot there.  I do not know if this story is on that site or not, but here is a true story I heard from a computer teacher I had in high school.:


Tech: How may I help you?

Caller:  My computer will not turn on.

Tech: Did you press the power button on the front of the computer?

Caller: Yes.

Tech: Is the computer making any noise or is it completely silent?

Caller: It is not making a sound.

Tech: Hmm, ok, is the power cable plugged in to the back of the computer and the wall?

Caller: Yes, I checked it.

Tech: Are you sure that wall outlet has power?

Caller: Oh, well the power has been out all day today.

Tech: (Calmly)Ok, here is what you need to do.
Pack up your computer and send it back becuase you are too stupid to own one.


The tech was fired after this.

It's almost true, but the tech never told the person that they were stupid, and they didn't get fired.  :(

Well, I have heard slightly differnt versions my self, but in all of them the tech was fired.
