Xeen:
Following China's example, Vietnam is now going to start spying and tracking everything its citizens do online. A new law also prohibits people from posting anti-government stuff online.

Do you think we'll ever see something like this happen here in the US?

Unfortunately, yes. We've been spied on since a long time ago, I'm afraid. And Canada is just as guilty, I'm sorry to say.
Here's some more info about the Carnivore system:

It sure is, look at this;

Also, the US have been kind enough to make us (UK) the first target of anyone wishing to attack them with an ICBM.
The 'fake' RAF base at Fylingdales is the key to their protection from ICBM launched from Europe/Middle East/Russia. Great for us - we get nuked, they get warned :rolleyes:
This fake RAF base (because it is really US intelligence) has such powerful RF that it interferes with alarms and other equipment within a mile radius or something, maybe more.
Another example of the pussifaction of the United Kingdom and subservience to the States, thanks to our *wonderful* leader, Prime Minister blair.
