Nintendo Memory

Paladin9:
Does anyone know how to reset the battery memory on a super nintendo cartridge?  I know turning it on and off a lot is supposed to maybe do it, but I want to know if there is a more official way of doing it.  There has to be.  I want to erase all the times and stuff from my super mario kart cartridge.

Refalm:
You can buy this red device for that (I once saw it). However, the chances of finding it are very low, so I guess you'll just have to break the seal :)

skyman8081:
doesn't it have a clear data function? I know Mario Kart 64 did, but not Super Mario Kart.

otherwise try and see is a gameshark/genie would work.

I know mario kart 64 does, but the snes mario kart does not.  I was hoping there was a way to do this without buying anything. Oh well, I guess Im fucked...

choasforages:
take it apart dude. find something that resembles a battery. disconnect the little bastard wait a day or so. then put the little shit back in. infact, go buy a new battery while your at it, best to leave things better then they were when you took it apart
