Helped someone install Oracle 9i
with the idea to upgrade an 8i db on M$ NT4
(yes yes I know - but I'm a helpfull guy) :D .

Man but was I suprised - a 9i install
takes about 3GB of space and installs.......
nearly 63000 (sixty three thousand) files
in 3000 folders on the machine!!!!    
excluding documentation 'course.
(about 21000 html files - wow - someone had time)
(about 19800 class files and 8850 gifs).

Now - I wonder if there is any 1 person working
with or for Oracle that has even a remote idea
what all these files and groups are for..  :eek:  

Any body know whether it does the same on Unix?
