But religion itself isn't to blame for those things.  What IS to blame, is the fucking idiots who "think" they are promoting the religions, when clearly they are just insane.

I myself am Catholic, and nobody I know is a fanatic, nor wants me to be one.  It's just the small insane percentage that give us a bad name.  Same goes for Muslim extremists - it's their fault, not Islam's.

I agree with what you say but im fairly sure that in the middle ages islam actually helped the advance in sciences

but that may just be in comparison to Europe which was a mess

I TOTALLY agree with you!  Religion IS the source of a lot of problems in the world.  However, think the root of all evil is money, just like the Pink Floyd song says.
