I don't understand. What's wrong with it? It's simply saying that the first device does not support DMA.

But it does support it, that's the problem. Suddenly it just stopped working one day and even a bunch of differently configured re-installs havent helped so far.
Zombie9920:
Or maybe DMA is disabled for the Primary IDE channels at BIOS level. Go to your BIOS and poke around to see if that is the case.
It would also be wise to install the latest version of the Intel Chipset Software Installation utility(motherboard chipset drivers) seeing that your machine uses an Intel chipset.
Intel Chipset Software Installation utility v5.x
After you install the chipset drivers and reboot, install the Intel Application Accelerator(IDE drivers for Intel chipsets). I can already tell by looking at the listing name for your IDE drivers that you are using the default Win2K drivers. The Primary IDE channels should still be functioning in DMA mode though. I really think that your problem is at BIOS level. The updated drivers won't hurt anything though.
Intel Application Accelerator v2.3
You may even want to consider updating/flashing the latest BIOS for your motherboard.
