For Calum
lazygamer:
Calum is interested in this(in theory) because:
1)He lives in the UK.
2)He seems interested in political stuff.
Well it's just that Calum usually has X political comment, and I don't know shit about the UK other than any hints that Calum gives, so I wanted to see if he has any insight into this.

lazyg, don't take my word for it about how the 'united' kingdom is doing, i am sure i am a political radical not worthy of your trust in this regard! ;)
my general opinion of the welsh nationalists is that wales is too small to become a self sufficient nation in any hurry. their language is in severe decline and their climate and population are incredibly similar to the english in many areas. i support the welsh nationalists in principal, but i believe that unless they have the support of a welsh majority, that welsh independence should be put on the back burner for a while, unlike the northern ireland and scotland situations which should have been resolved years ago. the only reason england holds onto these areas is because it still wants to hold onto the last tatters of the "empire".
