errm .... aren't M$ headquarters located in Redmond, Washington ? Or is that near Seattle and is my american topographic knowledge a bit flakey?

Correct on both accounts, BadKarma.  Microsoft *is* in Redmond, which is fairly close to Seattle.  Kudos.
