Every Windows user has either heard or is using one of the following programs:
[*]Ad-aware[*]Spybot[*]Webroot Spy Sweeper[/list]They remove so called spyware. Espacially Ad-aware has become a compulsory program on most Windows desktops.
Microsoft likes compulsory Windows programs, as long as they're from Microsoft, so now they've created (read: taken over some other company) their own spyware remover:
quote:Microsoft: Windows AntiSpyware (Beta) is a security technology that helps protect Windows users from spyware and other potentially unwanted software.

It would be a much better idea to protect the OS from spyware rather than charging money again to keep your OS spyware free.

Yes, but you got to admit that it's a brilliant market strategy.
People pay you for something that creates a problem, and then pay you again to solve the problem you created in the first place.

They've placed Alexa in Internet Explorer themselves, so it would be a little rediculous to remove that
