To anybody who can help me -

I need help from all you hackers and crackers out there.  There's some ass-fuck harrassing my girlfriend online and saying all this terrible shit to her.  Now the simple thing is to block the fucktard.  But I don't just want to stop there.  I want to know who this fucktard is.  I don't exactly know what I'm going to do with the information once I have it, but that's not for any of you to worry about.  They claim they knew us in highschool and I want to know which one of my friends would make my girlfriend cry.

So my plea to you is I need a crash course or something in how to track somebody across the web.  Or somebody willing to do the work for me.  All I've got so far is an AIM screenname . . . is that even enough?

Any help that *anybody* can give me will be greatly appreciated!

Wait till he talks to you on IM, then don't respond, and hit the warning button all the way. There is a bug in the Mac OS 9 version of AOL IM that seems to boot PC people off of IM when you hit warning enugh times.

In any case, warning him up will make it a pain for him to type and unless you respond he can't warn you back. If he keeps typing just keep warning but don't say a word.

Finaly, just block his ass.

Okay, so after talking to this person myself for well over an hour, I've positive that they're someone that I know personally.  If they were indeed just some sicko, then I would block them and be done with it.  Unfotunately, based on the information they gave me, they're not just some sicko, but someone who knew me and my girlfriend rather well highschool . . . but they obviously weren't too pleased with the experiences they had with her and feel she needs to pay.

So I want to track this dick splash down and at least get a name.  After that, who knows . . .

psyjax, I like your solution a lot . . . but I'm on a PC, not a Mac.

Anybody else feel free to give me advice on how to solve this mystery.

You still need to grab an IP address if you can, but this web site should be able to help, depending on what information you have and what information you want on them.
