perhaps you should learn things?
In fact, I like GNOME with Nautilus. it's my second favorite desktop shell behind the Finder. KDE has a better stronger, more coherent UI guideline though. I just don't care for KDE's desktop and shell.
what sucks is software install/remove, X11, and one or two other nagging things that in the end, make the difference between geekstation and home desktop

On a side note isnt it a little odd that longhorn will be using OpenGL? I thought microsoft had no support for OpenGL.

I actually think longhorn is pretty nifty looking. It looks like it will please the masses just fine. Much better than the nasty look of XP. At least they are making progress. Im a Networking communications student at the Kansas City Devry University, and I received a "free" copy of Windows XP Pro, which I made into a nice frisby today.
