(Sent in by reader. As noted on mediaresearch.org. Photo from Dhalgren's Place.)
While he was appearing on the David Letterman show (October 19th, 2000), during a commercial break when executive producer Maria Pope was leaning over to consult with Letterman -- Dubya casually reached out and cleaned his glasses using the hem of her green jacket, unbeknownst to her. Classy.

quote:And I was sitting outside the classroom waiting to go in, and I saw an airplane hit the tower -- the TV was obviously on, and I use to fly myself, and I said, "There's one terrible pilot."
--- End quote ---
-Bush claiming to have seen the first plane hit the tower on TV shortly after it had happened, when actually the footage of the first plane wasn't broadcast on TV until the next day. So he was either lying, or he saw a private broadcast which suggests he was in on it.
What a stupid bastard.

He keeps repeating himself, too. He sounds like a broken record, and at the same time like a parrot uttering platitudes and repeating the tripe fed to him by his PNAC / Sharon overlords.

Now, if only this major faux-pas could make the media. Isn't it sad that Clinton almost got impeached because of a consenting sexual relationship between him and an office secretary, when accusations of rape just pass virtually unknown? That's Republican hypocrisy for you. Weren't they the ones who were lauding Clinton in 2000?
