AOL Time Warner in trouble
computechat:
Hrm the only way i think that AOL Time Warner will comeback up in the stockmarket is by making movies... Austin Powers in Goldmember pushed them up 20 points or so didn't it? Also, RoadRunner might help them too because I hear so many people Raving about it daily. So in conclusion movies and RoadRunner will make their money. Also if I was them I would start charging money for AIM screennames ;) they've got a sh!tload of users on AIM...

I would not matter a nats cock if AOL Time Warner went bust or to jail. AOL is not a monopoly, just a very big company.
For Internet stuff I can choose not to use them, and still get high quality. For entertainment, I go to clubs, to shows, to live gigs, to concerts and recitals (yes my taste is that diverse), I buy cd's from labels like Impulse, for Jazz, Hedkandi for some seriously good chill-out type stuff, and any small label doing reissues of stuff is always good. AOL have little if any affect on my life - I don't use their products because I don't need to consume like a pathetic Golem under someone else's control.
sporkme:
the five dollar local isp is much better than aol access.
what does an internet company need with owning tv channels? --to advertize for their isp
aol broadband = time warner cable access-- plus paying to use the bloated aol front end
aol, so easy to use, no wonder we steal all your money
