Mac and windows "magic lantern"

Have any of you guys herd anything about the governements "magic lantern" project??
I hear that they dont even have to tell you about looking on your computer. and is it capable of looking on linux boxs??

well its not that im worried about my computer its just that isnt that violating our 4th amendment?? I know if they get a warrent to search your house they are required to knock first. so putting this "magic lantern" on your computer without your knowledge wouldnt that be violating your 4th amendment considering they have to get a warrent then to, well it sounds kindve like a load of BS to me.
