Ques. on new Sony PDA PEGNX70V?

I was wondering if anyone new anything about the new PEGNX70 V.  In particular, how to install the PALM desktop software on my COMPAQ at work.  I am able to get to the USB connection point, and then receive the following ERROR:  Error failed to find dll function advapi32, set named security info A.
I have ckd on sony.com and they don't list this error.  I know this is off the topic for this forum, but I figured I would give it a shot.  Thanks

Calum:
is this a windows question?
i am moving this to the 'other operating systems' section since it involves PalmOS, but i warn you if your compaq at work is running windows, there will not be many people here that can help you. most of us have freed ourselves of that monster.

Isn't that part of the new security procedure. Don't you contact them and get a download that enables you to use the product. Also watch out you may have one of those with the new one computer only systems. Which means if it is registered for use with another computer it cannot be used with ANY other computer. Implemeted only under XP as far as I know.

However - of topic - I can't stand PDA's they are so annoying and pointless - I rate them higher than Cell phones in the public annoyance fator.

And Calum - nice link to the FAQ mate.

Windows? On a Compaq!?! Could you ASK for more problems?

OK, fine, I'll stop. Try:
www.windowsbbs.com

Or: is this happening during the actual install process? What version of Windows?
