everybody's favorite(favourite for Calum) non-emulator.

Why? 3 reasons off the top of my head: Having to go through an NTLM proxy, testing a page to see how it renders on the browser with 89% of the market, and "The page is designed for IE only, please come back with an inferior browser"

Isn't MS ISA Server an NTLM proxy?  My school uses it and Mozilla works fine.  (Even on Linux)

CrossOver Office
Windows [n.]
A thirty-two bit extension and GUI shell to a sixteen bit patch to an eight bit operating system originally coded for a four bit microprocessor and sold by a two-bit company that can't stand one bit of competition.

wine will run IE now? ok, whatever,

i don't see why you would want to test your site on Ie though, unless i suppose, you are doing work for a client. if people moan that your site doesn't work in IE, get them to upgrade to what's known as a web browser. there are plenty around.

Making you no different than the sites designed with only IE in mind and say "This site is designed for IE only at 800x600 with 32bpp, and the browser window maximised, Please do not use a different browser."

no. i am 100 percent different, and here's why:

those sites try to force you to use IE

*i* try to force you *not* to use IE

i try to even out the balance a little.

However, you still are forcing a person to use a browser other than the one they use, just to view one site.  Firefox is great and al, but shouldn't it stand on its OWN merits, rather than your attempts to push it onto people?

100% different would be you NOT encouraging people to use a certain broswers, and not have anything of that like.

Using web standards instead of distorting web pages to work with IE makes Firefox stand on its own merits.

I installed it to see if it would install.

What would really break your geeky hearts is that it loads up faster then Firefox.
