WV is out!

A beta version of Windows Vista is out and ready for testers. Although only a beta version it is big, 2,47 gigs!

I'm not aware of the legal issues behind windows vista beta, but I hope that link is legal.

Also, who would want to run a beta OS?

i do to see how much CPU power it needs to run it, because in the screen shots it has way to much eyecandy

Isn't it supposed to scale based on system configuration, so if your system is underpowered, it adjusts itself? Or was that another thing they removed in order to push the product out?

i dont no but from screen shots i have seen, there is so much eyecandy and the each button is like an 1/8 of the screen. i am downloading it and i am going to way underclock my ststem snd see what happens.

Yeah, but they don't think it'll scale down to below 1GHz machines.

ok i looked around and their are 2 version a 32bit and a 64bit version

the 32bit version is 2.47 gigs and the 64bit one is 1.76 gigs, strange

its cos the 1 gig of space is the code for spying on u, maybe they aint ported it to 64bit yet :P

downloaded it, loaded onto old harddrive put in K-6 machine and it said during boot NTLDR not found pres control alt delete to restart, well at least it wasnt my comp that i use

the code might 64bit native and they had to add extra code to make it run on 32bit machines but your explanation is more likely
