If your not completely retarded, you can still understand his english quite well. English is allowed to be garbled a little, and it maintains readability. If you can't read simple mistakes that is really your problem not his.

Whoa. Isn't GNU/Linux a little better as far as HW compatibility is concerned? I never, NEVER EVER had to download a driver...

Buy a cheap webcam, get it working under Linux, and then report back to me.

Suggestion: he is new to the crowd and hasn't heard of PAN yet (which is pretty cool), I don't know where the development is at these days as my ISP doesn't do newsgroups like my old one. But the best p2p is gtk-gnutella as far as I am concerned. It runs fast and it is full of stuff.
