WMD:
The hurricane brought major damage to the power system (never mind a lot of other stuff) - there are above-ground lines down my street that are...on the ground.  No power for six days so far.  The phone line came back today, so through the miracle of gas generators, I'm using a computer for the first time since. :eek:

They said it could be a few more weeks before everything gets fixed, so I won't be around very much, if at all.  But I know you guys love me :p so I figured I'd come say I'm all right. :)

I'd hate to live in Florida. I imagine when the whether's good it's really good but when it's bad it's lethal, I think I prefer cold and wet England to be honest.

I'm stayin' high, dry, and cold as fuck up here in the Ozarks. All we have to deal with are violent winter storms. I used to live in the delta, down in Little Rock, so we had tornadoes there... nothing like the 'canes, but I can appreciate the feeling of having everything get blowed up.

Hope everything turns out well for the folks down in FL!

Pretty much the same, no power, dodgy phone lines, etc.  I do know one family, though, that lost a roof, and hence, much of the inside. :(

I don't like the weather here much at all.  The summers are "stupid" hot, and it only cools down for a few months - and it's not really cold, except for a few days at a time when the weather feels like it.  It hasn't snowed in my area since 1977.
