Who the fuck knows who killed her or even if she's dead? Last I heard, no body and no evidence have been found. Unless your legal system resembles China's, that's not enough for a conviction, let alone the execution some Americans are bloodthirsty for.

Exactly my point. The Americans claim they want the Dutch government to do something about the case.

What is there to do when no evidence is found?

Also, they don't like that suspects here have privacy from angry family members of the supposed victem. Well though shit, but that's the decent thing to do.
Maybe in America, it's common that the suspect and the family of the victems have a big fire fight after the case is over, but in the Netherlands, we'd like to keep things a little less violent.

Americans have a lil thing called Habeus Chorpus. It's not present. However, the family has preassured the local authorities, didn't get the answer they wanted. So, they preassured the island authorities, still didn't like the answer. So they went through Embassy, thier senator, representatives and Congressmen. Unfortunately it's a waste. I'm sure the politicians know (being that most are attourneys with some criminal law background) there is nothing more anyone else can do. But there's always what the voters see you doing for them, and that counts as well.
