Yeah, but 7-zip doesn't work on the Macintosh.

So pay for Tiger already.  ;)

I did. I'm running 10.4.3, but when I go to the 7-zip page, the Mac version eludes me.

FIne, you get some command line clone, but really.....

I'm glad that everybody keeps talking about how great these apps that don't work with SIT are. My advice... use an older version of Stuffit made back when they still called themselves Aladdin rather than Allume.
Go the fuck ~

Get it from fink at fink.sf.net.
I'm often asked why I hate Microsoft - "What did they ever do to you?". Well, I'll tell you. They made dodgy programs and standards which have wasted hundreds of hours of my time involving lost work in crashes and stupidity.

Can someone not google or at least do some basic research?

http://darwinports.opendarwin.org/ports/?by=name&substr=7zip&Search=Submit
http://pdb.finkproject.org/pdb/package.php/p7zip
http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/19139

Seriously... come on. Are you that stupid?

Oh, and there's a GUI for it hiding in Fink somewhere under unstable. I forget the name.

... uhhh ... I don't google stuff to check whether it is true or not, but I do enjoy making the users of any OS other than Linux feel compelled to switch ... the question of whether I'm stupid or not does not apply only to me it seems ... (make sure that when you throw a flame my way it doesn't also hit others next to me ... ) :D

I have had problems with the Stuffit Expander 10 set. It seems to unexpectly quit all of the time, but I just use the built in BOMArchive Helper unless its a .sit or something.

.dmgs still are superior no matter what
