As far as I remember ALL console manufacturers lose money on console hardware, but they have considerable margins on the games. This is a loss leader in business

Not quite, Nintendo makes a profit on the hardware.
Sony and Microsoft take a hit and try to make it up with games.

Playstations are pretty shit quality, but I can't say much about Xbox either. I hate Sony as much as I hate Microsoft, IBM, etc, because they are all taking part in treacherous computing.

Sp-s are for those who don't know how to use a pc (or do not want to bitch around with config....)
The only games that i play for sp are Crash(the fox/wolf thing),NFS,WWF/E

The only other good thing about ps-s is the joystick.:)
You can play 2x2 wwf smack down.
But you can not find a good enough keyboard to play 4 pople at the same time
also sp joysticks are cheeper(at least here they are) than pc

No no you wait here every product ms makes goes out in its Bulgarian form as soon as it hits the market here
Pc piracy is about 70% and Ps1 and Ps2 have even bigger rates
about every third cd is hacked(cd->iso->burn!) :}
