Title: Microsoft drive bug causes Core-Duo to use more battery life while USB device connect

Wow. Microsoft new  about the bug since july, and a registry tweak is the fix, but microsoft has done nothing about it. Not that surprising.

Probably because it only affects one piece of hardware to they didn't see it as an important issue.

The morons should've tested this technology with differant operating systems to ensure compatability (unless they only know about Windows) so it's their fault.

Intel is making chips for apple so they have to know about other OSes besides windows

What are you talking about?  The Fine Article says the problem is with USB 2.0 devices and the southbridge of Intel's new core duo systems.  That's not exactly "one piece of hardware."

And who are the "morons" you are talking about?  Intel?  How do you know they didn't test the technology with different operating systems?  The whole problem is (suprise suprise) with Windows!

You remember when Windows 95 didn't work with AMD processors faster than 400 MHz, even though those CPU's were fully up to spec?  Whose fault was that?

*jab* It was AMD's fault - they should've made sure ISO standards jibed with Microsoft standards. *jab* :D

M$ always does shit like this ... lazy motherfuckers ... they won't fix anything until you know about it ... i.e. there is an information leak ... :fu: M$
