MSN may be Microsoft, but for once it looks like they did something right. LOL.

Wow, at first I thought the words "operating system" could've triggered these results assuming they don't know any OSs exist but I was wrong.

Actually, I think it is somewhat significant that there are no major Windows hits on a search for 'operating system'.  Not because of the old joke/story about Windows not really being an OS.  But because nobody really considers Windows an OS.  In fact, the term "operating system" is somewhat unknown outside of esoteric technical circles.  If I asked my mom what OS her computer had, she wouldn't know (it's WindowsXP).  I think this is further evidence that the Windows scam goes muchmuchmuch deeper than just a couple shitty programs.  This looks more like brainwashing than marketing to me.

Most people actually think a god of some type lives inside their computer ... worship it ... sell your soul to it ! NOW !!!

Ok, so maybe it's not most people ... but I've known a few ... unfortunately enough

It's very strange. They litterly talk to their computer. If for example their USB stick doesn't work, they think it's because Windows XP is in a bad mood.
Or even when it's being slow, they think it's because Windows XP is under a lot of stress.

I don't think they're being 100% serious.

Anyway one of my sister's friends thought that the version of Windows on your computer deturmined how fast it is she onece said "my PC is Windows XP so it's better than the university's which is only Windows 2000", so I booted up Linux and explained the basic idea of an operating system to her.

I wish they weren't ... but if you'd known these people yourself, you'd know they weren't lying.

I fixed a pc for somone who thought her computer was having an "off day". It was having a "you have never shut it down properly in years and the heads in the hdd are scraping the magnetic surface of the disk off, day". Still wont listen. She also couldnt grasp the concept if there being different parts inside the case. OS is XP if ya hadnt guessed.

ROFLMAO!!!!!!!!!! I thought that operating system caused it as well, but it seems that Microsoft really do admit that Windows is 'horrid'!

Smash it up and give her the CPU in one hand and the CD/DVD-ROM drive in another, should do the trick.

I never run searches with MSN, even when I don't find something with Google (which is very very rare).

But even if it would give me better search results (and I would be surprised if it would), Google > Microsoft in MANY respects.
http://google.org/ being ONE. Google are just nicer.

Until it gets to a stage that Google often gives me shitty results that aren't much use to me, I'll stick with them. And then - I'll try Yahoo search.

Use Ask.com for image searches ... Google is not too good at those.

I use Clusty for text searches since it'll group your results by category, Ask for Image searches, and Google for Usenet.
