Title: Microsoft Bollocks XP
Post by: hm_murdock on 26 July 2006, 03:02
I finally just stopped using Windows altogether. I haven't turned on my peecee in EIGHT MONTHS... and the mobo battery died. Now it won't boot. HAHA.

Windows sux. I remember having to do shit like update it with Windows Update, reboot to a blue screen. Reinstall.

Fuck that shit.

I remember AOL replacing AIM with that new version of theirs.

Fuck that shit.

I remember the last year of Windows... 2005. I just couldn't take it anymore. A 300MHz Power Mac G3 was way better than my cushy Windoze box, so fuck it. I didn't want to look at the bullshit anymore, so I just totally jumped ship. Forever. Who needs Bill's shitty OS? If I need to run Office, I still can. I DON'T, THOUGH. I don't need to run stupid Windows games. I don't need to run bullshit. Anything I need done that requires Windows, well, I can get one of my Windows using sucker friends to do.

Windows chaps my ass.

Start buttons. My Computer. Genuine Advantage. Eat my pubes, Windows.

As long as it's not Window$ running anything else should do just fine ... I don't personally like Macs, but they're not bad ... if you like em use em.

This all sounds odd, Jimmy.  There was a time when you considered Windows to be not bad at all, and you were bashing OS X as slow and buggy.  What's more, you liked Linux and used it much of the time, on your PC.  Why would you all of a sudden not have your PC on for eight months?

The time I complained of slow and buggy OS X was 10.2. It's reached the point that I no longer think that it's "not good enough" for me to use all the time. As for why my opinion of Windows changed... after years of using consumer-level Apple hardware, I got a Power Mac again :p

Ya know, dual 500MHz G4 and a Radeon 8500 really do make for a better experience than a G3 with Rage 128.

And Linux? I'm still messing with it. I'm playing with Ubuntu right now. Well, not this exact moment...

As much as I think you're awesome Jimmy, that is not the case (http://www.microsuck.com/forums/showpost.php?p=49616&postcount=9).

[OFFTOPIC]Is it just me, or does the search system here suck?  I had to find this post manually - no search terms could find it.[/OFFTOPIC]

I have to agree, I remember when "teh Jimmy" used to have outbursts like "If you don't like XP then fuck you you ass hat, don't fucking use it. Let's face it, XP is not a bad OS and with SP1 (remember those days) a lot of traditional windowz problems have gone away."

Wow, it's strange to hear one of the only "Windows Advocates come around!!!!

I missed you JIMMY!

How's Sammi? And, BritishChick sez "awight mate"

I much preferred his ranting on topics other than Windows.  Or computers, for that matter.  Like, referring to a user as "ASSMASTER" and insisting everyone else do so.  Ah, I still love that. :D

Oh, don't you worry... there's plenty of that to go around. I could write a book about restaurant customers.

Peoples opinions change over time? Mine do. I would imagine others do as well.

That seems like a good answer to the question. :)

I think bill just stopped sending him a check.

If Bill was sending Jimmy checks, I don't think he'd be using a 300MHz G3 or a 1GHz Pentium 3. ;)
