"By choosing Joe Biden as their vice presidential candidate, the Democrats have selected a politician with a mixed record on technology who has spent most of his Senate career allied with the FBI and copyright holders, who ranks toward the bottom of CNET's Technology Voters' Guide, and whose anti-privacy legislation was actually responsible for the creation of PGP"

Bomb Iran or Bomb the Internet?

I say fuck Iran, I love the Internet.

(Oh and the irony that Obama's campaign was BASED on the Internet.)

This is why I like leaders completely out of touch with technology, they do far less harm.

John McCain has publicly stated that he does not know how to use a computer for even the most basic of tasks.  Why someone would admit to this in 2008 is beyond me.  Maybe he was reaching for that all-too-important "stupid and proud of it" demographic that was already going to vote Republican anyway, unless McCain married a guy.

Yet another reason why I won't be voting for him.

I know about that. I'd like leaders that lead though, not just fuck around on facebook and myspace.

Yeah, I know. I heard Obama spends eight hours a day working on his Myspace page.

I'm sure that if that's true, it's some low-ranking campaign monkey who actually does the MySpace editing.  Obama's got more important things to do - like figure out when the NWO assassin will show up.

According to your boyfriend Laukev7...

Quote
Obama attended a Bilderberg meeting with Hillary. For the rest I haven't followed much; my job keeps me busy and I'm tired.

I'm not yet convinced that attending a Bilderberg meeting is such a bad thing.  Laukev7 and I don't agree on everything.

Post by: Kintaro on 26 August 2008, 12:48
I know there is no evidence of either attending, just allegations. Laukev7 sure says a lot of shit, and can't back it up. The film ENDGAME just threw in a photograph on her and is like "HILARY WENT BECAUSE I, ALEX JONES, FUCKING SAID SO." Such integrity.

P.S: Say BAI to Net Neutrality.

Laukev is the only one of us that can see the truth. Not taking his medication gives his unique mind the clarity it needs to see the world for what it really is, the world that they want to hide from him with medication.

His omnipotence will free us all. As fluoride weakens us all, that he avoids it will make him a superhero like "V" from "V for Vendetta."

Also, how could it be that when heads of state meet with industry leaders in private that its a bad thing? Hell, the meeting is probably just to prepare those businessmen with knowledge that will survive the changing flood of fucktarded Government policy. I mean an Aristocracy of Pull is never bad AMIRITE?

If you compare the list of Bilderberg attendees over the past few years with the list of 3rd Way quasi-socialists (both lists can be found at Wikipedia), you'll find they are very similar.  So it's a worldwide political consulting group - how 3vil!  As far as I can tell, influential politicians who can't get onto those lists are either so left they can't get elected or so right that they became military police officers.  So getting invited means you're not a fucking jackass.

What are all the representatives of corporations for though? Isn't lobbying enough. Clearly not when people think Microsoft is a monopoly and can probably make a court think it!

It's funny, you just came out of the closet and said Bill Gates isn't a jackass!

I'd say not enough is known about it to say its a "political consulting group" or "ruler of the known world." More likely, it is a cartel of sorts. I personally concern myself more with the Trilateral Commission because Aussies actually go to that.

3rd Way is about implementing socialist policies in a way that is beneficial to capitalists and industry, as opposed to traditional socialism, whose ultimate goal is to contain and/or control industry. Therefore, many important businessmen and financialists get invited.

Everyone knows that Bill Gates used to be in charge of one of the fastest-growing businesses ever, and donates an unprecedented amount of money to overseas development charities.  Sounds like a reasonable invitee to me.  Doesn't make Windows not suck, though.

Dude, he is still chairman of the board, what is this about "used to."

Anyway, even if Laukev7 is right and Bilderberg or the Illuminati or the Freemasons rig the elections so Obama wins... as far as I'm concerned John McCain (http://www.aynrand.org/site/News2?page=NewsArticle&id=7347&news_iv_ctrl=1021) is so fucked this basically makes the Bilderberg Group heros.

The pathetic thing is both candidates offer meager tax cuts to fix the economy, and this won't last with America's low interest rates. The real problem is those rates being so low that is causing the severe inflation. I won't say a rise will be pretty either, but it would be a hell of a lot prettier than what will happen if the rates stay as is. The rates should go up and the taxes should go down to help people handle it. Barnake doesn't know what he is doing and I bet Greenspan is lulzing somewhere for letting it get this way in the first place while all you American shmucks called it prosperity.

Gates might be on the board, but he has handed daytoday running of the company to someone else.  Hence, "used to".

I think it's kinda sad that the worst thing you can say about McCain is that he came up with a stupid idea 7 years ago.  He's come up with plenty of stupider ideas 7 weeks ago, 7 hours ago.

Oh, and your focus on financial issues is way out of line with American voters.  They don't know who Greenspan was, and they really don't care.  As long as money continues to buy things, all that shit is considered to be worked out.  American voters are way more interested in social issues.  McCain earned $7 million in donations in 1 day after selecting MILF Sarah Palin as his VP, because she is a hardline anti-abortion, anti-environment, anti-drug, and anti-gay Republican.  Honestly, since both candidates are spouting the same energy policy bullshit, this election is going to come down to 2 questions:

- Do we want a black man to be president?
and
- Which candidate has less in common with George W. Bush?

Interest rates don't figure in at all.

For the most part I couldn't give a fuck about who wins the US election - I ignore most of it.

One thing that grabbed my attention was how much of a nutjob Sarah Palin seems to be. She believes in all that creationalist bullshit which is why I hope McCain never wins.

She's a nutjob, alright.  But the not-at-all-secret group of radical fundamentalists that want to turn the US into a Christian state really like her - hence the huge donations.

Call me crazy, but how drunk do you have to be to nominate a vice presidential candidate who is the key defendant in an open corruption investigation?

Simple: there's so much shit going on with politicians that they people don't care about those kinds of details.
Sarah Palin was a smart idea, you attract both evangelicals and feminists, since she seems to be both.
Title: Re: Joe Biden

I think the McCain campaign has grossly overestimated the feminist draw of his running mate.  He thinks he can siphon Hillary supporters away from Obama.  He might get a few, but I don't think it will be enough to save him from being "more of the same".  I think the number of people who supported Hillary just because she was a woman was pretty small.  Hillary's huge fanbase liked her for being a woman and for seeming like the antithesis to Bush2.  Although there were some tense moments, I think the DNC sealed up party loyalty for the most part, and Obama should win handily - if there isn't a vote counting "error".

Ummm, what? I'm 40. I was born in 1968. I've posted multiple times here and at Heated Debates that I am 40. I don't know why you'd disbelieve that fact.
