I wanted to be the first to ask...
Would you get a Tablet PC and run Linux on it?
I would. ::sticks tongue out at Steve Jobs for not making any cool new gear that interests me::

I figured I'd offer a Speical Edition version of this post, in keeping with my Engrish title...
Linux of Tablet PC
I wanter be the first to ask...
Would you got a Tablet PC and ran the Linux on it for the use of using it?
I am of the mind of thinking that I would. ::I am of sticking my tongue out at the direction of Steve Job's for the reason of not makking any hardware that is of the good inclination to my senses::

I wouldn't buy one. I don't like Toshiba (the only company manufacturing them right now) and I definately don't like the price.
Does anyone know of a distro that would support that touch screen?

I posted this thread moments after seeing the other one, when it had like two posts in it... I was really the first!
What about a modified version of the Pocket PC window manager?
As for Toshiba and the price, I agree.

I've noticed from my experience with the Tablet PC (both Compaq and some other model) that the WinXP UI is definitely not suited for a pen-based machine. Some of the interface widgets are far too small, and a window-based interface is more for a desktop or laptop machine than a tablet PC or even a convertible.
