Last October I started a thread in the Mac section talking about the fact that my Apple Pro Mouse was skipping and generally being a bitch. Near the end of the thread I purchased a new optical Microsoft-made mouse. I hated to admit it, but the Microsoft mouse was perfect.

NOT!!!

Well, three months later (earlier this morning) I was playing a game of Warcraft III on Battle.net and suddenly, without warning, the left button on my pretty Microsoft mouse popped off, making it completely unusable. I looked inside and saw that there was one tiny plastic tab that was keeping the button on, which had snapped during my game. I hadn't dropped the mouse because it had stayed plugged in for all three months and I'd only pounded on it a few times after losing some games. Mice should be designed to take a little punishment!!

So today I trekked to an Office Depot in a neighboring town, the same one I'd gotten the Microsoft mouse from. An employee that was helping me out told me that Microsoft mice were known to break and stop working. Three months earlier another employee had told me that Microsoft mice were known for their quality! The employee this time told me that he had had a Microsoft mouse that had stopped working as well (he seemed like a Linux user) and told me to go with Logitech.

This mouse doesn't look as good (although I'm glad to get away from the light blue and gray MS colors) and it doesn't fit my hand as well, but it does seem to be a lot sturdier. So I guess I'm completely Microsoft free again.

I thought Microsoft had actually made something well for a change. Leave it to them to fail us every single time.

dood. i have got a mouseMan wheel mouse from Logitech, and its fooking flawless. mother fucking perfection in mouse form. it fits perfectly. it is like 3 years old and works like some fucked up sex dream  (http://smile.gif)
that and it glows blue. cant beat it. cant join it. must accept its superiority and bow to its masterfulness of mousehood.

yeah. I got a ms mouse and it's really flimsy feeling. I've got a Logitech marble mouse and a trackman wheel (what can I say, I'm a Mac user at heart and I love trackballs)

Like Will Smith said, regarding the Noisy Cricket: I feel like I'm gonna break the damn thing. the plastic on the MS mouse is much thinner, to the point that when you tap on it, it vibrates. Both of the logitechs are built like tanks and have been dropped off desks onto hard tile floors and don't even have chipped paint.

i'm off. this forum sucks these days. for the record, calum junior's login name is 'arsehole'. What motivates somebody to do this? somebody who claims to have left for good perhaps but who always takes any credit for downtime we might have had here and who read that i had chickenpox and might not be around for a few days.

Well fuck it, i really am sick of it. you guys love zombie90210 so much? you can fucking have him. you all reply to him and give him a reason to live, go for it, but i have better things to waste my time on than this forum.

to be honest i felt a kind of obligation to come here since i moderate so many of the forums, but frankly, i really think there are enough other moderators that give a shit right now and the content on this forum really has decreased of late.

This isn't another 'that's it i'm leaving' post, i'm just giving you warning that i will only be here ocassionally from now on, instead of making the effort i used to make. that effort has become work, when it used to be enjoyable.

see you in here for some handbagging but will see you elsewhere for real discussion.

Tell me, why do you call Calum a fucking nerd for spending lots of time on this forum when you used to spend almost as much time here yourself?  If you think this place is stupid then leave and never come back.  If Calum "wastes" time helping people on this forum then you spend just as much time spewing shit and coming back here secretly and posting more shit - just to piss people off.  Go fart up the air elsewhere because we don't like smelling your fecal stench.

well it's not likely i will be helping anybody here much in future, looks like everybody who has a real question asks it elsewhere nowadays (if they're smart anyway) because of the cesspit of irrelevance this forum has become.

What are the specs on your mac Macman,  I have Warcraft III for my mac and it runs like shit, even at lowest settings.  My PowerMac stinks at games, I think its the shit ass radeon.

Radeon 7500 32MB

One 60GB and one 40GB HD
