Yes there is a very efficient way to uninstall Internet Explorer:

If you are running Windows NT, 2000, or XP:
Get a boot disk and restart the computer with it.
If you don't have one, then put in a disk, right-click the A drive, and it'll make one.

If you are running Windows 95, 98, or ME:
    Go to Shut Down.
Select Restart In Dos Mode and hit Ok.

When the computer restarts, all you have to do is type the following command: format c:

You can now take out the disk and restart your computer. Internet Explorer will be  removed completely.

Oh don't listen to that rubbish. You don't have to remove Windows to get rid of IE. Have a look at this site.

Not everybody wants to get rid of Windows because there are alot of things that people use that only run in Windows. ;P
