Title: Direct cable connection.
Post by: Agent007 on 2 September 2002, 15:29
I have a desktop system and a laptop. Both r loaded with Redhat linux 7.2. I plan to

connect them both via the parallel ports using direct cable connection (DCC), so that

files can be copied and synchronized etc. It worked perfectly with Windows. Is there a

way to do this under linux?
pls help!

thanks,

DHCP should automatically detect your IP and give you all of the internet capabilities.  I haven't used RedHat a whole bunch, but you should be able to run the configuration through the YaST equivalent on your system.
