As part of its "Get The Facts" campaign, Microsoft has argued for years that Linux is more expensive to manage than Windows. A new study out this week from Enterprise Management Associates (EMA) [...] , asserts that Linux is now in fact cheaper to manage than Windows.
Score:
Linux: 1 Microsoft: 0

This is why more people should get a certificate from Red Hat, even though it's as lame as getting a MCSE certificate.
If there are more Linux skilled system operators, the overall TCO for managing Linux drops, thus making it cheaper for companies to implement open source systems instead of having a Microsoft vendor lock-in.

Enterprise Management Associates (EMA), sponsored by the Linux backers OSDL and Levanta, asserts that Linux is now in fact cheaper to manage than Windows.
Well it's sponsored by Linux backers so this is just as much bullshit as MS' "face the facts campaign" - I stopped reading after this part.

they should get together and ... joint sponsor
a company like 50/50 cash
and THEN see what happens!
