I almost bought the PS2 kit but haven't done so yet. For me it would be more of a novelty than anything else so I just couldn't justify spending the money. Besides if I turn my PS2 into a web server I won't be able to play Gran Turismo 3 and ATV Offroad Fury.

Hey I was wondering, would it be possible to make a current or older version of Linux that will run on cartrige consoles, such as SNES, Genesis, or even the NES?

I had this idea of putting a Linux image into a Nintedo game cartridge. Then you have the system modified to accept a homemade cord that connects it to a harddisk and floppy drive. After that, you can use your NES Linux for data storage, or as a super powerful emulator. Basically, NES rom images are saved from a floppy onto the harddisk, then the Linux loads the rom image into the guts of the system and uses the system's hardware. The result,  in theroy, is that the system thinks it is running a cartridge, when it is really running an image using the real haardware.

Is this possible?
