Post by: onrampsrv on 18 April 2002, 04:31
I want to dump this ****  called XP that came on my Dell.  What O/S version would I use so I can still run my 3D game like Medal of Honor, Flight Sim 2002, NASCAR 2002, Need For Speed and others.  I hate XP and I want to get rid of it.   Please help??

well... if you like games then i reccomend Linux-Mandrake Gaming edition, it comes with the sims.

However, some of your games you cant get for linux.
Some cool games for linux are: RTC Wolfenstein, Unreal Tournament, Quake, The Sims, Xbill.
You cant get need for speed for linux (i dont think you can), but there is other cool 3D racing games out there for linux (tuxracer comes to mind).
visit www.mandrake.com (http://www.mandrake.com) i believe you can dl mandrake gaming edition from there if you want.
