Title: forgot my password
Post by: CaptainCool on 8 December 2002, 08:45
I was trying to open an open office writer document when I found that I put a password on it. I don't know how I forgot what it was but I did.
So just wanted to know if there was any way I could recover the password so I don't lose my work?

If it was easy to open a password protected OpenOffice file there wouldn't be much point in putting a password on it. I think the easiest way to get it open is to remember the password.

I think that might do the trick but so far all the passwords I usually use are wrong so guess I'm outta luck.

One of the few advantages of using a MS Word - it's easy to crack the password.

Lack of security an advantage? So that's why so many people use Windows.  (http://smile.gif)
