I have a laptop that I would like to install Debian on, but it doesn't have a Cd-rom drive. I was thinking about purchasing this:

It is the one at the bottom...the external drive.
Will this drive be supported under Linux? It has only drivers for $hitblows, but I remember Debian offering PCMCIA support during the install. Should this work? I don't know shit about laptops.
