Title: Sony Mini Disk "thirdparty software?"
Post by: clownmanus2000 on 7 March 2005, 05:11
MicroS,
I wish to introduce myslef , im clownmanus2000 from florida,
After complaining numerous times to Sony tech support regarding there deceptive advertizments regarding there minidisk product.
I am interested in discussing any possible thirdparty software that the group might be aware of. I was on the phone with a sony support agent and she kept "winking "? over the phone, "WE DONT support third party software" We dont suggest third pary software for the mini disk " repeat.
I presume she was implying that third pary programs would allow me to upload from my minidisk auto via usb , currently im using a usb soundcard and the minidisk headphone jack,
I am sure you will agree this is similar to the opressive indifferance microsoft has for our wellbeing. haha,

The only way to transfer files to and from a MD is with Sony's own proprietary software, which is too bad because it's an otherwise nice product.  In my case, they lost a sale because there was no OS X support.

but with a half decent soundcard you can still transfer content using the analogue output.

Well, if you want to transfer audio in real-time in 2005, be my guest :)
