Title: # of Characters on the Command Line
Post by: Fett101 on 20 June 2005, 22:04
Wow. Finally got that software upgrade.

I've finally gotten my server running Linux. X seemed to lock up pretty often so I'm running command line only. Is there a way to increase the rez number of characters it'll show on a line? So I can get more info on screen?

Wish I could remember bloody how.

Dang Fedora just runs my laptops display automatically in 1280x800 framebuffer for my laptop display and I get a really big shitload of screen width.

I got it.

I had to add vga=791 to the kernels boot parameters in grub.conf
